1. Why should I perform the Rudrabhishekam on the app?
Sadhana app provides an immersive environment for performing Rudrabhishekam. You don’t have to worry about the purity of ingredients, Vedic mantras, the steps involved and their order. The app makes abhishekam very easy and accessible.
2. Is the Rudrabhishekam on the app as effective as doing it physically?
Absolutely. While doing any ritual, devotion and faith are the most crucial elements. The mantras recited on the app are Vedic, and the ingredients are completely pure. You will perform Rudrabhishekam under the guidance of Om Swami, a realised master with over 30-years of experience in Vedic rituals and sadhanas, which further enhances the effectiveness of this ritual. Just offer ingredients with full devotion, and experience the grace of Bholenath in your life.
3. Will Rudrabhishekam help in my spiritual progress?
Yes, undoubtedly. Mahashivratri is a very auspicious day to perform Rudrabhishekam; it removes negativity and obstacles and advances you on the path of Sadhana. If you are a Shiv devotee, there cannot be a better day to offer gratitude and strengthen your bond with Mahadev.
4. Is it necessary to learn Sri Rudram Stotram to participate in Rudrabhishekam?
No.The powerful vibration of the Sri Rudram chant has a profound impact on one’s consciousness. The pure sounds of mantras work even when you do not chant them. You just need to offer the ingredients with mindfulness and devotion.
5. What should I offer first during the Rudrabhishekam?
First, touch the water symbol marked on the left side of your screen. Then, as the ingredients get highlighted on your screen, touch them one by one and offer them on the Shivlingam. Please note no verbal instructions will be given during Rudrabhishekam.
6. Can I perform the Rudrabhishekam from a different time zone?
Yes, absolutely. The recording of Rudrabhishekam will be available for 2 days after the event, till Feb 18, 2026.
