Benefits of Sri Suktam Sadhana

Mantras are pure sounds carrying immense power. The fifteen verses of Sri Suktam are the sonic form of Mother Goddess Herself. Several sages performed penance over thousands of years to invoke these verses. They hold power and wisdom. Sri Suktam opens our eyes to joy and beauty that exists in the world. And truly, it is the Divine Mother who represents these waves of joy (ananda) and beauty (saundarya).
Â
The ultimate goal of Sri Suktam Sadhana is to remove povertyâboth inner and outerâand empower people to experience fullness in their lives. It is a sadhana for inner awakening. As you invoke and embrace Ma Lakshmi, you invite abundance, prosperity, good health, and material progress.
Â
In his book, âThe Ancient Science of Mantras,â Om Swami cites the experience of doing the Sri Suktam Sadhana and its profound impact on his life. In 2008, Swami Ji ran a business in India and bought a factory. While the factory was still getting set upâprocurement of machines, hiring of employees, etc.âSwami ji got the opportunity to do Sri Suktam Sadhana for 16 nights. In 2010, he renounced the world.
Â
Interestingly, the business he had set up (along with a partner) flourished and became exceedingly profitable in years to come. He says, âOf course, this was not just because of the Sadhana of Sri Suktam, but also because of immense hard work, smart thinking, and relentless execution by my partner and staff. Having said that, when the seed is divine and healthy, the probability of a seed turning into a tree remains incredibly high.â (The Ancient Science of Mantras)
In the Sri Suktam Sadhana with Swami ji, you will chant the Sri Suktam verses along with beeja mantras or seed syllables. Just as a seed encloses the genetic codes of a tree, the beeja or seed mantra is a single-syllabic mantra containing the essence of its deity. Appending beeja mantras before and after the main verse of Sri Suktam makes it all the more powerful and effective.Â
However, it is crucial to remember that the mantra sadhana is not about parroting a mantra n number of times. It should be done with complete faith and devotion. Sadhana performed with sincerity never goes to waste and bears fruit in its own time.
