In Srimad Bhagavad Gita Sri Krishna has emphasised three actions. Performing them constantly purifies us and helps us grow spiritually. They are: yagna, daan (charity) and tapa (penance). These three are the very foundation of Sanatana Dharma and one should try to incorporate them in life.

You can perform yagna at your convenient time during this period.

Visualise Divine Mother, listen to the mantras and make offerings with faith and devotion.

How to Perform the Yagna
- Click the walking lion icon at your chosen timing (between Jan. 1- Jan. 2) to begin.
- Follow Swami ji’s instructions and tap the required ingredient on your screen.
- You can offer more firewood and ghee at any given point.
Points to Remember:
- You don't require initiation, permission, or any other intervention to do this yagna.
- Anyone over the age of 8 can perform it.
- The ideal time to perform this yagna is early morning or after 4 p.m. Alternatively, you can choose any other suitable timing between Jan.1, 2025 to Jan. 2, 2025 .
- You do not need to learn the Sri Lalita Sahahasranama Stotram to do this yagna.
- There are no restrictions for women to do the yagna during menstruation.
- Observe basic hygiene rules. Take a bath and wear fresh clothes before performing the yagna.
- Ideally, red-colored clothes are recommended for Devi yagna, but any colour will do.
- Sit cross-legged on a prayer mat (asana) for your yagna. Cover the asana with a red cloth. It is best to use an asana made of a blanket.
- We recommend not abandoning yagna or any ritual, unless there is an urgent reason to do so.
- In line with the Vedic tradition, you can set aside a small monetary offering or Dakshina after the completion of the yagna. You can also choose to offer Dakshina at the beginning.
