FAQs
In this article, you will find answers to common questions related to the Sri Suktam Sadhana.
Q: If I’m unable to do the Sadhana in October when is the next opportunity/muhurt?
A: If you miss any day, the Sri Suktam sadhana is compromised. In that case, you would need to wait an entire year to do it again. The special thing is that you will be performing this Sadhana under the guidance of Om Swami, which is a unique and invaluable opportunity. After this, from November onwards, the monthly Sri Suktam Sadhana will be available on the Sadhana App. Each monthly Sadhana starts on Amavasya (new moon) and concludes on Purnima (full moon).
Q: I want to do the Sri Suktam Sadhana, but my children are very young. I’m afraid I will not be able to stick to it at the same time. I will try to do each day's mantra at least 11 times or 27 times. Hoping that once my kids are a little older I will be able to commit to detailed Sadhana.
A: Do it even 7 times if you can. Anything is better than nothing. Every drop matters in making an ocean.
Q: While doing this sadhana, do we have to keep Sri Mahalakshmi’s picture or Sri yantra ?
A: You may if you so wish.
Q: While doing Sadhana for 6-7 hours, if on any of the 16 days one has to get up to go to the washroom, will the Sadhana be compromised?
A: Your sadhana won’t be compromised at all. Simply do the purification ritual and resume from where you left off. If, however, you stop your chanting midway a round, you have to do that round again. For example, you vow to use beads and do nine rounds and you get at the completion of round 3, simply start from the 4th round of chanting when you get back. But, if you stop in the middle of round 3, you will resume from the beginning of round 3.
Q: Will the Sri Suktam Sadhana release me from this life? I am looking for liberation, freedom, and moksha.
A: Nothing is impossible with the grace of the Divine Mother. Rest, you alone know the bond you share with the cosmic energy.
Q: Can I let my family and friends know that I am doing this Sadhana? I remember reading that one should not reveal one’s Sadhana to others.
A: You can let them know if it helps in any way.
Q: After a long jap at night, should I bathe and then perform the morning yagna, or can I perform the yagna directly without bathing?
A: If you have napped or slept after completing the jap, you should ideally bathe before starting the yagna. If the jap takes the entire night and you are straight onto the yagna, no bathing is required.
Q: For the night jap, should we consider the first night to be October 20 (before the first yagna) or October 21?
A: The first jap is on the night of October 20, and the first yagna is on October 21.
